When I booked my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I was picturing stunning coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I saw something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart jumped. This was more than a standard dive; this was an journey into history.

I'll admit, I was a bit nervous. Wreck diving is serious business. But the crew at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were fantastic. Their PADI guides provided an excellent safety briefing. We discussed safety protocols, the story of the sunken ship, and what to expect below. The fact we were in a small group immediately put me at ease comfortable.

Descending was magical. First, it was just a dark shape in the blue, and then the wreck came into view. It was huge. The ship is now a bustling new home, covered in corals and teeming with marine life. We saw big groupers peeking from inside the hull, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the cracks. The feeling of gliding alongside this silent, ghostly structure is indescribable—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling at the same time. It's a time capsule under the water.

If you're an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and seeking something more the usual reef dive, I cannot urge you this **Con Dao wreck dive** highly enough.
